Sanford L. Frankhouser

Born on Oct. 24, 1940, he was the son of Benton A. and Doris E. (Harlon) Frankhouser. On Oct. 9, 1960, he married Beverly J. (Treaster) Frankhouser, who preceded him in death on Nov. 3, 2024.

He is survived by children Deena Frankhouser of Danville, Brad Frankhouser and wife Holly of McClure, Brian Frankhouser and wife Caroline of Reedsville; four grandchildren Ryan, Chad and wife Sage, Joshua, and Courtney; two great-grandchildren Bodie and Hattie; siblings Brenda Miller and husband Roy of Lewistown, Joyce Havice and husband George of Reedsville, Shirley White and husband Bob of Reedsville, Nancy Frankhouser of Reedsville and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Cecil, Norwood “Bub,” Maurice, and a sister, Carol Frankhouser.

He attended Belleville Mennonite School. He was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He and his wife always enjoyed having a farmette at their home. He always loved his animals, especially cats and his dog, Missy. Later in his life, he taxied the Amish specifically Mark Zook.

He enjoyed attending the Belleville Sale and Auctions. He especially enjoyed playing poker with his buddies. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan.

He attended Barrville Mennonite Church.

A viewing will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 6880 State Route 655, Reedsville. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Carl Geissinger officiating. Burial will take place at the Barrville Mennonite Cemetery following the service.
