ALTOONA — U.S. Rep. John Joyce has filed nominating petitions to seek re-election to Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District seat.

Joyce, a Republican from Blair County, submitted more than 4,000 signatures to the Pennsylvania Department of State, according to his campaign.

“The tremendous amount of grassroots support from hardworking Pennsylvanians is humbling,” Joyce said in a statement, thanking volunteers who collected signatures.

Joyce was re-elected in 2024 with the most votes of any congressional candidate in Pennsylvania, according to his campaign.

In his announcement, Joyce pointed to policies he supports in Congress, including efforts to reduce inflation, extend middle-class tax cuts, increase domestic energy production and strengthen border security.

The 13th Congressional District includes much of south-central Pennsylvania.
