Helen L. Peachey

Helen L. Peachey, 83, of Belleville, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law.

Born on June 5, 1942, in Oliver Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry C. and Annie (French) Smith. On June 16, 1962, she married Timothy R. Peachey, who preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 2026.

Surviving is a son, Max Peachey and wife, Tami (Miller); two grandchildren: Nicholas Peachey and wife, Sarah, Mikaela and husband, Andrew Pealock, all of McVeytown; eight great-grandchildren: Jase, Rhett, Boone, Ava, and Ilise Peachey, Zella, Miles and Coralee Pealock; siblings: Doris Peachey and husband, Ken, of Belleville, Janet Zendt and husband, Merv, of Mifflintown; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy and brother-in-law, Galen Kenepp.

Helen attended Juniata Joint High School. She was primarily a homemaker and assisted her husband on the farm. She drove school bus and cleaned for numerous businesses. She enjoyed and excelled in all aspects of homemaking. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to bake pies. She had a gift of hospitality and making people feel welcomed and loved in her home.

She was a member of the Maple Grove Mennonite Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Maple Grove

Mennonite Church at 11 a.m. with Pastors Phoebe Quaynor and Ivan Yoder officiating. There will be a visitation from 10-to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
