Timothy R. Peachey

Timothy R. Peachey, 83, of Belleville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026 at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital.

He was born on June 16, 1942, in Belleville, to the late Raymond R. and Ethel M. (Zook) Peachey. On June 16, 1962, he married Helen L. Peachey, who survives at their home.

Surviving is a son: Max Peachey and wife, Tami (Miller), of McVeytown; two grandchildren: Nicholas Peachey and wife, Sarah, of McVeytown, Mikaela Pealock and husband, Andrew, of McVeytown; eight great-grandchildren: Jase, Rhett, Boone, Ava, and Ilise Peachey, Zella, Miles and Coralee Pealock; siblings: Joyce Yoder, Darlis Myer and husband, Howard, of Lancaster, Wilbur Peachey and wife, Esther, of Mifflinburg, Ken Peachey of Harrisonburg, Va., and sisters-in-law Donna Peachey and Velma Peachey, both of Belleville and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Dennis, Conrad, and Ronald; and two brothers-in-law, Jesse S. Yoder and John Myer.

Tim graduated from Belleville Mennonite School in 1960. Most of his life, Tim was involved in farming, raising strawberries, raising chickens, and doing custom fieldwork. He served as a pastor from 1975 to 1990 at the Allensville Mennonite Church. He worked as a manager of Chem-Gro Seed Warehouse. He served as an overseer for Allegheny Conference of Mennonite Churches for many years.

Tim was a member of the Maple Grove Mennonite Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and song leader. He sang in the Harmony Four Quartet. He had a love for music, and also enjoyed farming, woodcarving, metal detecting and mowing hay for Max. He and his wife enjoyed cruising around in his black Honda Del Sol. Most of all, they loved visiting their great-grandchildren and delivering treats.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Maple Grove Mennonite Church, with Phoebe Quaynor and Ivan Yoder officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
