Janet D. Maben
Janet D. Maben, 86, of Milroy, closed her eyes in sleep and awakened to everlasting life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 9, 2026.
She was the daughter of the late Carl F. and Violet M. (Barklow) Hoy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth R. Maben Sr. on Oct. 2, 2020, and a brother Richard Hoy.
She is survived by her loving children: Kenneth R. Maben Jr. (Dottie), of Florida, Barry L. Maben (Lisa), of Reedsville, Joan M. Burkey (Michael) Reedsville, and Bradley A. Maben (Penny), of Milroy; grandchildren: April Clark (Mike), Ashlee Maben, Nathan Burkey (Lindsay), Kenneth “KJ” Maben, Brandon Maben, Rebecca Hostetler (Darin), Zachery Maben, Joshua Maben (Faith), Hannah Mazzocco (Vince); 13 great-grandchildren: Logan, Madeline, Mara, Lori, Ryder, Izzy, Zoey, Aleah, Jackson, Fisher, Flint, Jade, Luca; and a brother Gary Hoy and wife, Joanne.
She was a 1958 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School. Her places of employment were Fisher Electronics, Mifflin County School District (in the cafeteria) and CARS.
Janet was a member of Big Valley Bible Church. Her faith and reading of God’s Word were an important part of her life.
She enjoyed getting together with her friends and playing games.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Golden Living Center and 6B Ortho at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital for the wonderful care that was provided to their mother.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026 from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Hartzler officiating, at Henderson-Bohn Funeral Home, 6880 State Route 655, Reedsville. Burial will be private.
