Constance L. Yocum

Born on Dec. 2, 1951, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Elmer G. Yocum and Hazel L. (Miller) Yocum.

She is survived by her sister, Janice Yocum and various cousins.

Constance was a graduate of Shippensburg University where she obtained her master’s degree in education. She was a teacher for more than 30 years with the Juniata County School District. She attended the Church of the Nativity and St. Stephens in Newport. Constance enjoyed crocheting and reading, and in earlier years liked to bowl.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, at Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with Rev. Ryan Tobin officiating. Interment is private in Old Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.

A closed casket visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral services at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Constance’s memory may be made to the Church of the Nativity and St. Stephens, 159 S. Second Street, Newport, PA 17074.
