He is also survived by his children, Jamie Thomas and husband, Neal, Jessie Campbell and husband, Frank, and John Campbell; he was the proud grandfather of Colin and Cameron, who brought him endless joy; brother-in-law, Rick Williams, of Lewistown; sister-in-law, Brenda Bishop, of Lewistown; he also loved his canine companions Dutch and Cooper.
He was a 1971 graduate of Penn Highlands High School. Larry worked many jobs over the years, always willing to lend his skills and strong work ethic wherever he was needed. He retired from the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, a role he took great pride in.
He was a longtime member of Hickory Springs Camp, where he made many cherished memories; and also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. Larry’s faith in God was a meaningful part of his life and gave him strength and comfort throughout his journey.
Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially spending time fishing along the Juniata River, one of his favorite spots. He and his family loved taking the boat out on Raystown Lake and enjoying the water and time together. Camping trips were a highlight of their life, often ending with a big seafood boil around the fire. He also treasured beach vacations, road trips, and any time spent outdoors and with the people he loved. A proud fan of Penn State and Dallas Cowboys, he rarely missed a chance to cheer on his teams.
