Amy L. (Barner) Balmer

She was born Jan. 21, 1964, in Lewistown, to the late John Barner and Paulette Kuhns.

Amy was a 1982 graduate of Chief Logan High School. In 2008, she graduated from South Hills Business School, with her Associate’s Degree in accounting, and then became a notary ppublic, in 2010.

Amy is proceed in death by her father John Barner, a sister Kelly Rodgers, a brother In-law Gary L. Snook Jr., a nephew Michael Barner, and a niece Carlynn Kratzer.

Surviving are: fiancÈ Craig Stephenson, her mother, Paulette Kuhns, her daughter, Nina Kirk and her family, a granddaughter, Jordyn Kauffman, her brother, Tim Barner, and his wife,, Wendy, her sister Ellen Kratzer and her husband Carl, her sister Billie Snook and her fiancé, Randy Whitsel, and her aunt whom she was very close with Blanche Riden.

Amy loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed being outdoors. She also loved animals.

It was Amy’s long time wish, to donate her body to science and not have any services. Her family has honored those wishes, but will have a celebration of life for her, at a later date.
