Richard Lynn Graybill

Richard Lynn Graybill went home to Jesus on Sept. 13, 2025, at age 65, where he will live eternally. Rich was born to Donald and Sara Graybill on Oct. 14, 1959, in Lewistown. Rich and Susie met in 1979 and married two years later on Aug. 1, 1981.
Rich was a faithful and gentle husband and father. They went on to have six children, Melissa, Rich Jr., Michael, Christopher, Timothy, and Julia.
Rich was a hard-working dairy farmer, and it was by his love for farming that he taught his children to enjoy their work. Rich lived on the family farm his whole life. Working in the fields and then hunting too was a thrill for Rich, even if he didn’t see anything.
Rich began to follow the Lord as a teen. In difficult times, Rich learned to trust in and count on God’s promises. This is where Rich got his ever-present smile. Rich was a special gift from God. Rich loved attending Thompsontown Baptist Church where he was a member.
Rich joins his father, Donald, in heaven. Rich is survived by his wife, Susie, his mother, Sara, his sister, Ellen (Dave), brother, Donnie, and his twin, Roger (Renee). Also surviving are his children, Melissa (Dan), Rich Jr. (Angela), Michael (Trisha), Chris (Tonya), Timmy (Krissy), and Julia. His sweetest grandchildren are Hannah, Sarah, Daniel, Joshua, Grace, Aaron, Aleah, Michah, Colton, Blake, Lane, Carter, Kinzee, Kaelyn, Jase, Kynlee, Kyler, Tucker, Abigail, and Kamiyah.
“Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
A memorial service will be held at Thompsontown Baptist Church, 269 Birch Drive, Thompsontown on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at 2 p.m. Interment will be private at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Cemetery, Mifflintown.
