Aquillas O. Peachey

Born on Feb. 15, 1951, he was a son of the late Samuel and Mary (Peachey) Peachey. On Nov. 21, 1978, he married his surviving wife, Barbara A. (Weaver) Peachey.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children, Mary and Valentine Petersheim of McAlisterville, Kathy and John Kurtz of Peosta, Iowa, Mike and Emma Peachey of Cochranton, Andy Peachey of McAlisterville, Rachel Peachey, at home, Nelson and Linda Mae Peachey of Ickesburg, and Becky and Wilmer Peight of Mifflintown; 30 grandchildren; siblings, Sam Jr. and Susie Peachey of McAlisterville, Sarah and Ike Hostetler of Mechanicsville, Md., Shem and Lora Peachey of Alamogordo, N.M., and Rachel and Paul Troyer of Mifflintown; a sister-in-law, Judy Peachey of McAlisterville; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ephraim B. Peachey.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish.

Viewing will be held from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at his residence, 1896 Free Spring Church Road, McAlisterville. Funeral will follow at the home on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, at 9 a.m.

Interment will be in Rockland Amish Cemetery, McAlisterville.
