Lynn Losch Leitzel

Lynn Losch Leitzel, born Dec. 22, 1942, to the late S. Ernest Leitzel and Miriam Losch Leitzel, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on July 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Lynn is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 60 years, D. Lucille Leitzel. He was a cherished father to Michelle Davis (husband Gilbert) of Millerstown, and Jeffrey Leitzel (wife Tammy) of Richfield. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in his grandchildren, Mia, Cori, Tatum Davis, and Trevor, Stefan, Nathaniel, and Evan Leitzel. He is also survived by his brother, Samuel. He was preceded in death by his foster brother, Robert Leonard.

Lynn graduated from Middleburg Joint High School in 1960 and from Houghton College in 1964 with a degree in Education and Psychology. He began his teaching career in Painted Post, N.Y., and married his childhood friend Lucy in 1965 at RMC, where he worshipped and served faithfully for 82 years.

Lynn worked as a fifth-grade History teacher and bus driver at Mifflinburg Area School District, and as a high school club director for Central PA Youth for Christ. He retired after 19 years at AMP in Selinsgrove, then continued ministry as a missionary recruiter for GMU and ECMI.

He and Lucy traveled extensively on mission and work teams, sharing the love of Christ with people around the world. His passion for missions and evangelism was a defining part of his life.

An avid outdoorsman, Lynn taught hunter education for more than 40 years for the PGC at the Richfield Sportsmen’s Club, where he was a lifetime member. He also belonged to the NRA and enjoyed time with his ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) friends at County Line.

Lynn will be remembered for his unwavering faith, generous spirit, and dedication to serving others.

A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, with a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. at Richfield Life Ministries Church, Richfield.
