Katlyn Marie Lane

Born on Sept. 26, 1991, to Darrell Lane and Shawnie (Tressler) Lane, Katlyn was a devoted daughter, a loving mother, a caring sister, and a cherished friend. She was also blessed with a bonus mom, Carole Lane.

She is lovingly survived by her children, Hunter D. and Kuper D. Haines, Pyper M. Lane, Kimber L. Smith, and River K. Long, as well as step-children, Indigo and Zayd. She is also survived by her siblings, Dustin T. Lane, of Lewistown and Heather N. Lane and her fiancÈ, Anthony Byrd, of Milroy; nephews, Xavier S. Byrd and Quinton D. Byrd; and step-siblings Sheena, Greg, and Cheyanne.

Katlyn is also survived by several very close cousins, Jessica Norris, Anissa Smith, Terry Norris and his wife, Britteny Norris, Michael Lane, Megan Ruby, and many more.

She is deeply missed by her best friends, Shamere Fultz, Britney Harp, Blake Marks, Kendall Perry, and Kat Pollini.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maria Lane, Duane Lane, K. Eugene Tressler, and E. Jean Tressler.

Katlyn graduated from Lewistown High School in 2010 and went on to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She dedicated her life to caring for others, working in several nursing homes and providing in-home care throughout the community.

Katlyn had a brilliant smile and a heart full of compassion. She always put others above herself and made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her greatest joy in life was her children.

A free spirit with an infectious laugh, Katlyn’s presence lit up every room she entered. Her love, energy, and kindness will live on through her family and all who were blessed to know her.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Granville Fire Company Event Center.
