Charles W. Doyle

Charles W. Doyle, 82, of Reedsville, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
Born on Nov. 11, 1942, in Orbisonia, he was the son of the late Wendell and Vera (Lane) Doyle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Leta “Lynn” Doyle, who passed on Feb. 1, 2020; a cherished granddaughter, Haleigh Wise; and his siblings, Sandra, Richard, Max, Linda, Marlene, Darlene, and James.
Charles is survived by his devoted children Todd Doyle and wife, Casey, of Strodes Mills, Cami Wise and husband, Jon, of Reedsville, and Amie Semder and husband, Rodney, of Lewistown. He was a proud grandfather to Arle, Colby, Peyton, Bailey, and to his “inherited” grandchildren, Celina and Tyler. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Milla, Piper, Belle, Gracie, Bo, and Hadley. He is also survived by a brother, William Doyle of Shade Gap, and his faithful canine companion, Oscar.
A proud veteran, Charles served honorably in the United States Air Force. He went on to work for many years at Standard Steel in the Melt Shop until his retirement.
Charles was a member of Church Hill United Methodist Church. He found joy in simple pleasures–swimming regularly at the Juniata Valley YMCA, fishing in his earlier years, and devoting time and care to maintaining his home and property, which he took great pride in.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Charles’s life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of King Funeral Home and Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the American SIDS Institute, 528 Raven Way, Naples, FL 34110.
