Jeffrey D. Yoder
Jeffrey D. Yoder, 71, of Smith Valley Road, Mapleton, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born June 5, 1953, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Melvin Yoder and Betty (Kauffman) Yoder who survives of Belleville. He was united in marriage to the former June Grissinger on Jan. 27, 1979. Mrs. Yoder survives at their home.
He is also survived by two daughters, Fawne Yoder of Mapleton and Brittany Weaver and husband Adam of Milroy, two grandsons, Landon and Liam Weaver, two foster granddaughters and one sister, Lu Boozel of Mt. Union.
He was a 1971 graduate of the former Kishacoquillas High School. Mr. Yoder was an active member of Immanuel Bible Church, Three Springs, where he served on the church council, was a Sunday School teacher and helped with various other activities.
For many years he was active in various bowling leagues, was an assistant coach for the Southern Huntingdon County High School girls softball team, coached summer league softball and ran the chains at Southern Huntingdon High School football games.
He retired from Your Building Center, Huntingdon, after 42 years service. After that he made deliveries for Fisher’s Auto Parts, Huntingdon.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2024 at Immanuel Bible Church, 22054 Starr Road, Three Springs, PA with Rev. Steven Heaster officiating. Interment will be made at Cherry Grove Cemetery, Three Springs. A viewing will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, 245 Seminary St., Cassville, PA. There will be no viewing on Monday, however friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Bible Church, PO Box 372, Three Springs, PA 17264 or to the American Cancer Society.
