Mary Beth ‘Bea’ Burke
Mary Beth “Bea” Burke, 66, of Burnham, passed away at 5:29 p.m., Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lewistown.
Born Feb. 20, 1957, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Belle Ann (Betlyon) Mayes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Grant Burke Jr. in 2010, and a brother, James C. Mayes in 1999.
Bea is survived by: sisters, Vicki L. Fultz, of Lewistown, and Nancy J. Dilliard and husband, Mike, of Reedsville; brothers, Daniel S. Mayes, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and David M. Mayes and wife, Cathryn, of Pine Grove; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1975. She went on to earn an associate degree from York College and also attained a real estate license.
Bea was employed as a property manager for R.P. Management Inc., in Harrisburg; later, at Miracle Ear, Yeagertown, and lastly at the Down Range Tavern.
She was a member of Yeagertown Fire Company.
Private interment beside her son at Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville, will take place at the convenience of the family.
