Paul D. Shearer
Paul D. Shearer, the best father and grandfather in the whole entire world, was reunited with his beloved granddaughter, Aurora Faye, on June 25, 2023.
He was born on March 23, 1964, in Lewistown. He was the son of the late J. Paul Shearer and Norma and Jim Ewing, of Lewistown, who survive.
He was a 1982 graduate of Lewistown High School, where he ran cross country, and a 1984 graduate of HACC with a robotics engineering degree. Most recently, he owned his own electrical business. If it was broken, Paul could fix it. He took a lot of pride in his work. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penn State football, hunting and fishing. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Surviving are his three daughters, Eleni Shearer, Kortney Shearer and wife, MiKayla, Maggi Guthridge and husband, Anthony, all of Mifflin County; grandchildren, Reiley, Leylah, Emilyn, Esme, Cadence, Oaklynn, Jude, Archer and Luna; a sister, Ruth Eddy and husband, Mark; and nephew, Matthew, all of Lewistown; and companion, Katrena Goss, of Lewistown.
A public viewing will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, and a private funeral for the family at a later time.
Private interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
