Elizabeth Wian
Elizabeth Wian left this world for the arms of the Lord and her beloved husband, Lee, on June 8, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. “Betty” to the many friends she made through her life, she was born Elizabeth Louise Yearick in Lewistown, PA on October 23, 1934.
She graduated from Lewistown High School in 1952 where she participated in multiple singing groups as well as playing the clarinet in band. She continued to express her love of song throughout her life as a member of the church choir and as a “band mom” for Cumberland Valley Marching Band.
For fun, she enjoyed playing cards and Bingo with her friends, assembling puzzles, and traveling with her late husband and family. Her travels included many cruises, several cross country trips, and annual beach vacations with her family. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with loved ones and raising her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters, Linda Stoll and husband Jim; Carole Wian and husband Rick Wortman; Julie Ruda and husband Richard; and son, Stephen Wian. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kira Parfitt and husband Jason; Lauren Stoll and husband Sam Alwang; Joshua Stoll and wife Jama; Brianna and Nicole Ruda; and great-grandchildren, Owen and Elliot Parfitt, and Parker Stoll.
