Douglas W. Hassinger Sr.

Born December 16, 1957, in Lewistown, he was a son of Robert W. and L. Arlene (Fraine) Hassinger, who survive.

He was preceded by a sister, Kelly L. Hassinger.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by, his fiancÈ, Sherri Ebeling, of Bellefonte; sons, Douglas W. Hassinger Jr., of Reedsville, Hunter Hassinger, of McVeytown; grandson, Asher Hassinger; and siblings, Robert L. Hassinger, of Ephrata, and Kimbra Swyers and husband, Christopher, of Reedsville.

He was a member of the Calvary Bible Baptist Church, in Newtown Hamilton.

Douglas was a Lewistown High School graduate.

Earlier in life, he worked for New Holland, in Belleville. He worked at Trinty Packaging and part-time at Wal-Mart.

He loved being outdoors, going hunting and fishing.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
