PennDOT announces Juniata County road work for coming week

MIFFLINTOWN — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has announced several maintenance projects scheduled for Juniata County during the week of Sept. 21, including bridge maintenance, crack sealing and pipe work. Bridge maintenance and cleaning is scheduled Monday on Route 75 at a bridge spanning a tributary of Tuscarora Creek in Spruce Hill Township. Mifflin County measles cases climb to 93

LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County’s confirmed measles count climbed to 93, an increase of 14 in one week and the second-highest county total in Pennsylvania. Only Lancaster County, with 323 cases, has reported more infections, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s measles dashboard, updated Sept. 21.
