Road work planned across Juniata County

From staff reports MIFFLINTOWN — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has released its maintenance schedule for Juniata County for the week of July 6. Motorists should expect lane restrictions, flagging operations and possible pilot vehicles at several work sites throughout the county. All work is weather permitting. Bridge maintenance and cleaning will continue on Route 2028 (Goodville Road) at the bridge spanning Dutchman Run, about five miles east of Salem. Allensville shop asks customers to look up

ALLENSVILLE — The way Ben Swarey explains it, the shop began with a $30 telescope. He found it at a local thrift and gift store. He had already been interested in astronomy, but that telescope gave the interest a place to go. He looked up, saw more above him than most people noticed, and kept going.
