Triple A Blues Band to perform at South Hills Music Picnic

STATE COLLEGE — The Triple A Blues Band will perform Sunday, July 19, as part of the 2026 Music Picnic Series at South Hills School of Business & Technology. The free outdoor concert will begin at 6 p.m. on the north lawn of the school’s main campus, 480 Waupelani Drive, State College. The Triple A Blues Band has been a fixture on the central Pennsylvania music scene since its first performance at the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts in 1991. From staff reports STATE COLLEGE — Union employees at Mount Nittany Medical Center have voted to authorize a five-day strike beginning July 27 after contract negotiations failed to produce a new labor agreement. According to SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania, approximately 950 hospital workers voted July 8 to authorize the strike, with 98% voting in favor. HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs is encouraging veterans who have misplaced their military discharge paperwork to seek assistance in obtaining replacement records needed to access benefits. HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is reminding Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program recipients affected by last weekend’s severe storms that they may qualify for replacement benefits if food was lost because of extended power outages.
