NEWTON HAMILTON — If there’s Christmas in July, who says there can’t be turkey suppers in April? The Newton/Wayne Volunteer Fire Co., located at 9 Market St. in Newtown Hamilton, is hosting a turkey supper on Saturday, starting at 8 a.m.

Call (814) 542-8968 starting at 8 a.m. Saturday to place your order. Pickup starts at 1 p.m. Meals are takeout only. The cost is $14 for a regular meal and $15 for all white meat.

Future dinners will be held on May 2, Sept. 12, Oct. 3 and Nov. 7.

Fremont All-You-Can-Eat Pot Pie Sale

Enjoy an all-you-can-eat ham and chicken pot pie meal from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, at the Fremont Social Hall, 299 Millrace Road, Mount Pleasant Mills. The meal includes ham or chicken pot pie, Harvard beets, coleslaw, applesauce, dessert and drinks. All-you-can-eat dine-in or take-out is available. The cost is $14 for adults and $6 for ages 5 to 11. Proceeds benefit the Fremont Fire Department.

McClure Volunteer Fire Co. Annual Pot Pie Sale

McClure Volunteer Fire Company’s annual Chicken Pot Pie Sale is set for Saturday, from 1 to 4 p.m. Take-out only is available. The cost is $10 per quart and includes pepper slaw and applesauce. Pick up is at the fire hall, 49 W. Specht St., McClure. Pre-order by calling (570) 713-0411.

Night of Crafting

Hosted by Habitat for Humanity of Mifflin County, a Night of Crafting is set for Friday, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at East End Coffee Co., 18 E. Market St., Lewistown. Bring your own craft. Some supplies will be available.

Trout derby in Thompsontown

AMVETS Post 122, 22641 Route 333, Thompsontown, is sponsoring its annual Kids’ Trout Derby on Saturday, from 8 to 11 a.m. The derby is for ages 12 and under. Trophies will be awarded.

Reedsville UMC hosts free movie night

Join Reedsville United Methodist Church, 82 E. Logan St., Reedsville, on Sunday, for a free movie night at 6:30 p.m. Movie will be “Risen,” the epic Biblical story of the Resurrection as told through the eyes of a non-believer, Clavius, a powerful Roman military tribune, and his aide, Lucius, are tasked with solving the mystery of what happened to Jesus in the weeks following the crucifixion in order to disprove the rumors of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
