Motorcycle crash sends two to hospital

McCLURE — Pennsylvania State Police in Lewistown responded to a crash around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, March 22, on Whiskey Road in Decatur Township.

Police said Jantzen Kesecker, 18, of McClure, was operating a 2007 Husaberg motorcycle northbound when he approached an intersection and was unable to slow or stop. The motorcycle began to skid, overturned and continued through the intersection before striking a guide rail along Mail Pouch Road.

Kesecker and a passenger reported injuries and were transported to a hospital for evaluation.

Lewistown man charged with DUI

LEWISTOWN — A 51-year-old Lewistown man was charged with driving under the influence after a traffic stop around midnight Saturday, Feb. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police in Lewistown.

Police said officers observed a 2016 Ram truck commit multiple traffic violations while traveling on East Charles Street. After stopping the vehicle, officers determined the driver was under the influence and filed charges.

Woman charged with trespassing

MOUNT UNION — Pennsylvania State Police in Lewistown charged Tabitha Fraley, 32, of Mount Union, with simple trespassing following an incident around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, at the Nittany Minit Mart along U.S. Highway 522 South in Wayne Township.

Police said Fraley entered the business after previously receiving a warning against trespassing. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith.

Man arrested after garage burglary

EAST WATERFORD — Pennsylvania State Police in Lewistown investigated a burglary reported at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at a residence along Campbell Hollow Road in Lack Township.

Police said Joseph Ness, 23, of Ickesburg, broke a garage window and stole a gas can from the property. Ness was later taken into custody on an arrest warrant and transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

Police said the case is pending court proceedings.
