ALFARATA — One person died and another was hospitalized following a wrong-way crash involving a motorcycle Monday evening in Mifflin County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, the crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. Monday near 5142 U.S. Highway 522 in Decatur Township.

Troopers said a Toyota traveling south crossed the center line into the northbound lane and collided with an oncoming motorcycle that was unable to avoid the crash.

State police said one person died as a result of the collision and another was transported to a hospital. Additional details about the individuals involved were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
