Calendar

The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.

Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.

Please be brief and include only basic details. If possible, provide a phone number or email address to be published with contact information.

• Amish wedding-style roasted chicken meal — doors open 4:30 p.m., take-outs available 5 to 5:30 p.m., sit-down dinner 6 p.m., March 28, Locust Grove Mennonite Church, 3358 W. Main St., Belleville. To support the Central PA Clinic for Special Children and Adults. Doctor’s comments, acapella singing, silent auction. Eat-in and take-out by reservation only due by March 26 by calling (717) 935-2065. Meal cost is by donation.

• Mifflin County Chapter PASR luncheon meeting — noon, Thursday, April 2, Birch Hill Event Center, 1100 N. Pine St., Burnham. Annual scholarship bazaar. Bring new or gently-used items, baked goods or preserves and adhesive address labels. Cost of the meal is $17.50. • Music Jam session — doors open at 5 p.m., The Shade Mountain Boy at 6 p.m., 4 Seasons Senior Center, 56 Jam House Road., Mifflin. Kitchen opens at 5 p.m. Open mic. All proceeds benefit the Center programs. Call (717) 436-6847 for more information.
