Three vehicles involved in crash; one injured
THOMPSONTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a three-vehicle crash about 4 p.m. Feb. 20 on state Route 22/322 eastbound in Walker Township.
Police said a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek driven by Emily Baram, 21, of Newton Hamilton slowed in the left lane, prompting a 2023 Dodge Durango behind it, operated by Trooper Cole Morey, 27, of Mifflintown, to brake. A 2022 Dodge Charger driven by Trooper Zackery Mothersbaugh, 28, of Mifflintown, was unable to stop and struck the Durango, then continued forward and hit the Subaru.
All three vehicles were towed. Mothersbaugh was treated at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for minor injuries to his right hand. Baram was issued a written warning.
Welfare check leads to DUI charge
MIFFLINTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a welfare check about 5 a.m. Jan. 20 on Route 75 North.
Police said Amanda Wakefield, 43, of Mifflintown, was found operating a 2013 Toyota Prius and was determined to be under the influence of drugs. Charges were filed.
Criminal mischief reported
MIFFLINTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a report of criminal mischief about 1:30 p.m. Feb. 15 on William Penn Highway.
The victim, Brayden Chubb, 23, of Richfield, told police a red 2003 Ford F-150 was involved. No additional details were provided.
