A crowd of about 300 watched a five-foot by nine-foot replica of a Hartley’s Potato Chip bag drop from the ladder of the Heritage Fire & Rescue’s aerial truck on Monument Square in downtown Lewistown on New Year’s Eve. Borough officials, including Mayor Deb Bargo and Code Enforcement Officer Katelyn Rauch, brought back the tradition of the Downtown Lewistown Chip Drop this year to celebrate 2026.
