Emergency crews respond to a vehicle rollover on U.S. 322 in the area of Twin Bridges Monday afternoon.

REEDSVILLE — The driver of a dump truck was injured as a result of a vehicle accident Monday morning. At 11:31 a.m., firefighters from Reedsville Fire Co. were alerted to a vehicle accident on U.S. 322 in the area of the Twin Bridges.

A truck owned by Mike’s Landscaping crashed through the guide rail from the eastbound to the westbound lane and rolled over on its side. The vehicle was hauling a load of stone at the time of the crash. Firefighters removed the windshield and the bracket between the windshield pieces to allow the driver to escape the wreckage. He was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital with minor injuries.

Assisting at the scene were Milroy EMS, Fame EMS, Mifflin County Regional Police, Lewistown Borough Police, Pennsylvania State Police, PennDOT, Parsons Towing and local fire police. U.S. 322 West was closed at the Burnham interchange and the detour route was utilized during the incident and reopened in the early afternoon.
