Alleged fraudulent check cashed

MIFFLINTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police received a report around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, of an alleged fraudulent check cashed from a 64-year-old Mifflintown man’s bank account for $1,750.

According to the report, the bank and the police continue to investigate this alleged theft.

No injuries in vehicle crash involving horse

McVEYTOWN — According to a report from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, Harry Allison, 81, of Lewistown, crashed into a horse around 1 p.m. on Dec. 1.

Allison was operating a 2019 GMC Sierra traveling southbound on Ferguson Valley Road when he reported seeing a horse running parallel to the roadway in a field next to the road.

The horse then ran out in front of his vehicle, and he was unable to avoid the collision, striking the horse. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, but no injuries were reported.

Mifflintown man arrested for criminal mischief

MIFFLINTOWN — A report from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown stated that on Saturday, Nov. 29, a 22-year-old male was arrested for damage done to a screen door belonging to a 53-year-old male of Mifflintown.

The report stated that the criminal mischief incident took place around 9:30 p.m. on North Third Street.
