Male suspected of

driving under the influence

McVEYTOWN — According to a report filed by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, officers responded to a vehicle crash at around 11 p.m. Saturday on US Highway 522 just south of South River Road, Oliver Township.

The report states that Clint Harshbarger, 53, of McVeytown, was traveling north in a 2004 Subaru Forester when Harshbarger veered off the right side of the roadway coming into contact with a guide rail before coming to a final stop.

Harshbarger was reported as wearing his seat belt and was not injured.

Officers suspect Harshbarger was driving under the influence and are awaiting blood test results.

Driver of truck believed to be

involved in possible shooting

HONEY GROVE — On Sunday, Nov. 2 around 1 a.m. officers of Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown received a complaint about shots being fired from a black Ram truck.

Once on scene officers collected evidence that shots were fired and statements from the four victims were taken. According to the report this is still under investigation.

Ambulance collides with

deer, continues transport

LEWISTOWN — On Monday, Nov. 3, officers of Pennsylvania State Police responded to the area of US Highway 522 North just east of Old Orchard Road, Decatur Township, where it was reported that a FAME ambulance vehicle was transporting a patient to the Danville Medical Center around 11:30 p.m. when a deer entered the roadway.

The ambulance was struck in the front end causing no major damage, and the vehicle was able to leave the scene of the crash and continue transporting its patient.

Car strikes bear, no injuries sustained

MCVEYTOWN — Around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday officers responded to a vehicle accident on US Highway 522, Wayne Township.

The report states that Emmaleigh Krepps, 20, of McVeytown, was traveling south near the intersection of Newton Road when a bear entered the roadway.

Krepps related that she was unable to avoid the collision relating to disabling damages.

Krepps was wearing her seatbelt and remained uninjured.
