Police respond to more than 800 incidents

HUNTINGDON — The Pennsylvania State Police at Huntingdon released monthly statistics for crime and patrol activity for September on Friday. For crime activity, troopers responded to 811 incidents in September, with 20 offenses reported; 19 total found offenses; 20 offenses cleared; and 17 criminal arrests. For patrol activity, there were: 261 warning notices; 99 traffic citations; 27 crashes; 11 injuries; 5 seatbelt citations; 3 DUI-related crashes; 3 DUI citations; 2 fatal crashes; 2 fatalities; 1 hit and run crash; and no DUI-related fatalities; and no child seat citations.

Police investigate mother, daughter dispute

MOUNT UNION — Pennsylvania State Police at Huntingdon are investigating a physical domestic dispute that occurred between a mother and daughter from Mount Union, according to a Public Information Release Report that was issued on Friday. The report said the incident occurred while the 36-year-old mother, who was not identified, was attempting to get her 15-year-old, also not identified, out of bed for school. During this time, the daughter struck the mother with a closed fist, the report said.

Decatur Township crash

LEWISTOWN — A 30-year-old Mifflintown man suffered suspected minor injuries after passing out due to a medical emergency and crashing into a tree at the farm of 20 Vista Acres, along Old State Road in Decatur Township at 11:58 a.m. on Oct. 21, according to a Public Information Release Report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown on Friday. Brandon T. Nipple crashed as he was traveling south on Old State Road at about 60 miles per hour when he passed out, hit the guard rail off the right side of the road, went through a corn field and hit the tree, the report said. Nipple was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital by Fame EMS, the report said, and he was suspected to have suffered minor injuries. Burnham Fire Co. and Parson’s Towing also assisted on scene.

Mifflin man faces assault charge

MIFFLIN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown troopers investigated an alleged assault in Milford Township at 9:35 p.m. on Oct. 11 and filed charges against Christopher Gahagan, 25, of Mifflin, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Friday. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Joshua R. Imes. The victim was identified as Nathan Reesman, 40, of Lewistown.
