Police seek information related to broken window

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers are investigating an incident at the rear of a residence on the 600 block of South Wayne Street in which an unknown person threw a tan brick through the rear cab window of a truck parked off Lehigh Alley sometime after 11 p.m. on Oct. 4, according to a release issued on Friday. Anyone with information or video surveillance of this incident is encouraged to contact police at (717) 248-6716.

Lewistown woman cited for public drunkenness

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers observed a woman in the playground at the corner of North Walnut and Catherine streets in Lewistown at 8:43 p.m. on Oct. 5, according to a release on Friday. The woman, identified as Tammy A. Snyder, 53, of Lewistown was visibly impaired and was leaning against the fence, the report said. Snyder said she took “too much” of her prescription medication, the report said, and officers tried to get her into her nearby apartment however she did not have keys and she resides alone. FAME EMS was dispatched and the woman was transported to the hospital for medical treatment due to how impaired she was, the report said, and Snyder was cited for public drunkenness.

Woman charged with possession of drug paraphernalia

LEWISTOWN — Amy J. Packer, 45, address unknown, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after Lewistown Police Department officers noted several people staying along the Juniata River who had warrants at 12:12 a.m. on Oct. 6, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers conducted a patrol of the area and located Packer, who admitted to staying there with a person who currently has warrants, the report said. Packer permitted officers to look inside the tent for the wanted subject who was not located, the report said, and officers observed several items used to ingest methamphetamine inside the tent. Packer acknowledged that there was a meth pipe in the tent, the report said, and officers located containers that had THC wax and a residual amount of methamphetamine.

McVeytown man cited for disorderly conduct

McVEYTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers investigated a complaint that several disturbing letters were left at a tanning business on South Plaza Drive in Lewistown at 11 a.m. on Oct. 7, according to a release issued on Friday. The letters said “*Attention Cougars aged 40-65” and contained vulgar statements about sexual acts that the self-described 35-year-old male wanted to do with said females, the report said. The business reviewed video and observed Ryan D. Spickler, 35, of McVeytown, leaving the papers in the business. Spickler’s phone number matched the number on the hand-written letters and Spickler had a copy of his driver’s license on file from when he signed up for a membership, the report said. Spickler’s key fob to the business was deactivated and he was to receive a no-trespass notice, the report said, and Spickler was cited for disorderly conduct.
