Police respond when vehicle goes off road
MOUNT UNION — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the scene of a vehicle crash on Sunday, June 15, around 11:30 a.m.
The report states that a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado had to be towed out of a ditch by Parson’s Towing. The unnamed driver was traveling west on Kistler Road, Wayne Township, when the tires of the vehicle went slightly off the right side of the road, pulling the vehicle into a ditch.
No injuries were reported and the vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.
No injuries sustained in tractor-trailer crash
MILROY — Officers of PSP at Lewistown responded to a freightliner crash on Wednesday, Aug. 20, where the driver of the vehicle, Mekhroj Rozikov, 36, of Queens, N.Y., was traveling at a high rate of speed going down US Highway 322 East, causing him to use the runaway truck ramp.
The report says that after impacting the ramp, the vehicle continued east before coming to a final rest.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage. Rozikov was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. He will be charged by Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith.
Police respond to Marketplace hoax
MIFFLINTOWN — According to a report, officers of PSP Lewistown are investigating a theft by deception report that took place on Friday, July 18, around 2 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to South Main Street, where the victim, a 70-year-old Mifflintown man, was hoaxed into sending $300 worth of gift cards through Facebook Marketplace in exchange for a guitar, which he did not receive.
Police respond to extortion of teen
HONEY GROVE — Officers from PSP at Lewistown are investigating a report in which a 16-year-old Honey Grove teen was exchanging nude pictures with someone he met online.
The victim related that the person tried to extort money from him.
