Man cited for selling alcohol to minor
McVEYTOWN — According to a report filed by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, an unnamed 47-year-old McVeytown man was taken into custody after attempting to sell/transfer an illegal firearm. Police responded to the scene of Loop Road and Bice Lane in Wayne Township on Wednesday, July 16, around 1 p.m.
East Waterford teen cited for speeding
PORT ROYAL — On July 27, around 10 a.m., officers responded to the area of Route 75, where a one-vehicle crash had taken place.
According to the report, a 16-year-old East Waterford male was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu south when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to unsafe speeding.
Police said the teen struck multiple telephone poles, causing disabling damages and resulted in being towed from the scene.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for suspected minor injuries. He will be charged with driving too fast for road conditions as a result of the crash.
Mifflintown man cited with public drunkenness
MIFFLIN — According to a report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, officers responded to a fight at the Mifflin Borough softball field on Saturday, July 26, around 10 p.m.
Once on scene, officers found a 36-year-old Mifflintown man to be under the influence of alcohol. He was cited for public drunkenness.
