The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.

• Community fun day — 2 p.m., Bunkertown Brethren Church, 52 Bunkertown Road, McAlisterville. Concert by Soul’D Out Trio at 6 p.m. Free community event. Food and activities for kids of all ages.

• Bluegrass Gospel gathering and ice cream social — 6 p.m., Locust Grove Mennonite Church, 3358 W. Main St., Belleville. Attendees are encouraged to bring a homemade dessert to compliment the ice cream. The J-Tyme Bluegrass Band and Unusual Suspects String Band will be featured.

Sunday

• Bingo — Doors open at 4 p.m. Bingo starts at 5 p.m., Lewistown Elks Lodge, 229 W. 3rd St., Lewistown. Rip tickets will be sold. Short order menu available for purchase.

• Captain Jack / Mount Union Area High School get-together — 6 p.m. at Downtown OIP.
