McClure car show rescheduled

McCLURE — The Third Annual Car Show and Cruise-In in McClure has been rescheduled for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at 80 Armstrong Lane, McClure. Gates open at 8 a.m. Various contests will be held during the day including a Burn Out Contest and Pin-Up Contest. Custom trophies for winners in the car show. Inmate death reported at Huntingdon prison

HUNTINGDON — An inmate was found unresponsive in his cell at State Correctional Institution on June 17, according to John Rivello, superintendent of the facility.

Rivello reported that prison staff and medical personnel immediately responded to the scene and provided life-saving measures on the inmate, Henry Christopher Stubbs, 60.

EMS arrived at the facility and advanced life support measures were continued as he was transferred to Penn Highlands Hospital, where he passed away at 5:34 p.m..

Stubbs was serving a life sentence for first degree murder from Luzerne County. He had been at SCI Huntingdon since May 18, 2011.

The deceased’s next-of-kin has been notified.
