GRANVILLE — Local business owner and lifelong resident Terry Stewart has announced his candidacy for Granville Township supervisor. In the upcoming primary election.
Stewart, a Republican, has been a small business owner in Granville Township for more than 33 years, operating a truck and equipment repair shop that he founded after recognizing a need within the community. After graduating from Lewistown High School in 1984, he began working in the construction industry, where he gained first hand knowledge of hard work, planning and resource management — skills he continues to apply in his business and now hopes to bring to township leadership.
“As a business owner, I understand what it means to make responsible decisions, work with limited resources, and serve the people who depend on you,” Stewart said. “I want to manage the Township’s budget with accountability, ensuring every dollar is spent wisely and in the best interest of our residents.”
Stewart is committed to making the supervisor’s office accessible to all citizens, with open communication, transparency, and a focus on listening to the community. He also wants to work alongside local small businesses, helping to create opportunities for them to grow and prosper.
“After speaking with many residents and business owners, it’s clear that Granville Township is ready for a fresh new perspective — someone who understands the day-to-day challenges people face and is willing to work hard on their behalf,” he said.
Stewart believes his decades of experience as a business owner, along with his deep roots in the community and his understanding of the needs of working families, make him the best candidate for Granville Township. The primary election on May 20.
