LEWISTOWN — Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital recently celebrated the opening of its newly-renovated sleep center.

The sleep center moved from the fifth floor to the second floor as part of a large renovation project that is making space for all private rooms at the hospital.

Since 2005, Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital Sleep Center has diagnosed and treated a wide range of sleep disorders including sleep apnea, insomnia, restless leg syndrome and narcolepsy.

“Renovating our hospital is not just about updating the physical space, it’s about enhancing patient care, improving operational efficiency and ensuring that our facilities meet the highest standards of safety and comfort,” said AJ Hartsock, associate vice president of clinical operations for Geisinger’s western region. “Modernizing our infrastructure allows us to provide the best possible care to our community and stay at the forefront of improvements.”

The renovated space features comfortable, private bedrooms designed to help patients feel relaxed and at home during sleep studies. The center also offers unattended home sleep testing, which can be performed within 24 hours of clinical evaluation.

The center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, ensuring high standards for in-center and in-home sleep testing.

Starting at $2.99/week.
