Woman charged with drug possession

MIFFLINTOWN — An unnamed 52-year-old woman of Mifflintown was taken into custody based on a 302 warrant on Friday, March 7.

The report states that officers responded to Apartment Drive, Fermanagh Township, at around 5:45 p.m. During their search, officers found what they believe was a crack pipe and crack cocaine in her jacket pocket. She faces charges through the district court.

No injuries in tractor trailer crash

MIFFLINTOWN — Officers responded to a crash around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, when 21-year-old Canyon Moore was operating a 1996 Kenworth tractor trailer south along Industrial Park Road, Walker Township. According to the police report, Moore came to a complete stop to make a left hand turn onto Cedar Grove Road, once traffic stopped.

During his turn, Moore’s trailer struck the rock wall on the right side of the road, causing damage to the wall but not to the trailer.

Moore was wearing his seatbelt and remained uninjured.
