Police searching for white female who stole flowers from planter
LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers received a complaint from a business located at 6 N. Dorcas St. in Lewistown at 9:22 a.m. on Feb. 17, according to a release issued on Friday. Allegedly, an individual stole decorations from a flower planter in front of the business valued at approximately $20, the report said. Officers received surveillance video and observed that the same suspect also took decorations from a flower planter belonging to an adjacent business, the report said. Officers are attempting to identify a white female, who is believed involved in this incident, the report said. Department releases January statistics
LEWISTOWN — The Mifflin County Regional Police Department completed 328 incident reports for January, according to a release issued on Friday. Of those reports, officers investigated 16 incidents of theft or fraud and 28 motor vehicle accidents. Officers issued 33 traffic citations and 16 non-traffic citations. Additionally, officers made eight arrests for driving while under the influence. The regional police department serves Burnham Borough and Brown, Derry and Union townships.

LEWISTOWN — The Lewistown Police Department is encouraging anyone with information about the whereabouts of Dale Gene Gibb, 59, no address listed, to contact them immediately, according to a release issued on Friday. The police received a request to investigate Gibb for an alleged Megan’s Law violation, the report said. Gibb is required to register as a sex offender as a result of a criminal attempt rape conviction from 1989 the report said. An investigation by detectives revealed that Gibb is no longer residing at his registered address. As of Feb. 5, 2025, Gibb failed to register his current address and a warrant was obtained on Feb. 10, 2025, for Gibb’s arrest, the report said. Mifflintown man jailed for warrant; two others cited for disorderly conduct
LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers responded to 207 W. Market St., Lewistown, for a 911 hangup at 3:34 p.m. on Feb. 15, according to a release issued on Friday. Mifflin County dispatch also had a call from a separate individual regarding a child custody dispute. Officers arrived and met Marigladys Sanchez-Ortega, 34, of Lewistown; Nathalia Colon-Ramirez, 22, of Mifflintown; and Fredys Ley Razo-Martinez, 33, of Mifflintown, the report said. Sanchez and Colon began physically fighting each other and failed to stop when ordered to do so by the officers, the report said. Officers had to physically intervene and an officer was struck in the face while separating the two combatants, the report said. The females were detained until the dispute could be investigated, the report said. Officers discovered that Razo had an active warrant, was taken into custody and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown, the report said. Sanchez and Colon were cited for disorderly conduct, the report said.
Female charged with aggravated
harassment, public drunkenness
LEWISTOWN — A 27-year-old Lewistown female was charged with aggravated harassment by prisoner and public drunkenness and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility after an incident at 10:34 a.m. on Feb. 16, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Officers were dispatched to a third-party complaint regarding a domestic dispute at 314 S. Brown St., Lewistown and contacted Maelynn Ann Christoff, who exited the residence and closed the door refusing to allow officers to check on a male who was observed inside, the report said. Christoff was highly intoxicated and belligerent, the report said. Christoff pushed her chest against an officer, shouted obscenities, threw mail into a yard and left her property onto a public sidewalk despite being warned to remain at her residence, the report said. Christoff was not compliant with officers and she was placed under arrest for public drunkenness, the report said. During this time, Christoff spit on an officer’s face and was transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.

for burglary, criminal trespass
LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers were dispatched to 20 Spring St. in Lewistown at 11:36 p.m. on Feb. 16 for a report of a burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers spoke with involved subjects, including a phone call with the accused, Aiden Lee Hollibaugh, 21, of Lewistown, the report said. Hollibaugh was walking past the address when he observed a vehicle which belonged to a male parked outside his ex-girlfriend’s house, the report said. Hollibaugh went to the apartment and knocked on the door, and, when his ex-girlfriend answered, Hollibaugh barged into the apartment and attempted to assault a male who was inside, the report said. The female separated the two males and prevented an assault, the report said. The male visitor fled and Hollibaugh went outside where he proceeded to punch the male’s vehicle, causing two large dents with an estimated loss of a few thousand dollars, the report said. Officers obtained an arrest warrant for Hollibaugh and charged him with several offenses, the report said. Hollibaugh surrendered himself at the Lewistown Police Department the following day, the report said, and was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown, pending arraignment.
Police arrest one for warrant, charge two for drug possession
LEWISTOWN – While assisting a constable at 14 Valley St. in Lewistown with an eviction at 8:54 a.m. on Feb. 17, Lewistown Police Department officers came in contact with seven people inside the apartment, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers located Frank Stephen Allen Snyder, 36, no address listed, who had an active arrest warrant and was found to be in possession of fentanyl, methamphetamine and various drug paraphernalia, the report said. Officers located other drugs and drug paraphernalia scattered throughout the apartment, the report said. As a result of the investigation, officers also charged Samantha Sue Weld, 35, of Lewistown, and Taleea Sholly, 19, of Lewistown with drug possession and drug paraphernalia regarding methamphetamine and marijuana that were found inside the apartment, the release said.
Two area men arrested and lodged in prison after East Walnut Street, Lewistown, incident
LEWISTOWN – Lewistown Police Department officers received a phone call stating that Brian Jason Pickrell, 35, of Lewistown, was chasing people and causing a disturbance in an alley behind 433 E. Walnut St. in Lewistown at 3:06 p.m. on Feb. 19, according to a release issued on Friday. Pickrell had an active arrest warrant, the report said. Officers responded to this location and observed James Stephen Varner, 37, no address listed, departing from a disabled vehicle associated with Pickrell. Varner had a prothonotary warrant and was taken into custody as he tried to leave the area upon seeing marked police vehicles, the report said. Pickrell was located inside the disabled vehicle and initially refused to exit the vehicle, the report said. He complied when officers warned him that they would discharge OC spray into the vehicle, the report said. Pickrell was found to be in possession of a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine and was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown, pending for possession of drug paraphernalia, the report said. Varner was transported to the facility, but he began showing signs of an overdose and he told officers he consumed Xanax, the report said. An ambulance was summoned to the jail and Varner was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation, the report said. Varner left the hospital before being discharged, and Granville Township Police arrested Varner on Feb. 20 at a residence in Granville Township.
Lewistown man charged with disorderly conduct on Chestnut Street
LEWISTOWN – A 27-year-old Lewistown man was charged with disorderly conduct after Lewistown Police Department officers
responded to 28 Chestnut St. in Lewistown for a report of a resident pounding on the walls in the hallway of the apartment complex and screaming at 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 20, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers located Tayvon Ishmael Mays, who continued causing a disturbance and was shouting at officers telling them to leave, the report said. Eventually, Mays was taken into custody and transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown where he was charged with misdemeanor-third degree disorderly conduct, the report said.
Lewistown woman arrested for simple assault after altercation
LEWISTOWN – Lewistown Police Department officers responded to the 200 block of North Grand Street in Lewistown for a report of domestic violence, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers spoke with an adult male who stated he confronted his mother, Maria Lyn McKittrick, 60, of Lewistown, over her abusing cocaine, the report said. McKittrick became enraged and grabbed the male’s head slamming it off a table in the residence, the report said. McKittrick fled the residence to a nearby friend’s house where officers spoke with him and observed injuries including a bleeding lump on his head and a cut to his hand, the report said. Officers inspected the table which had both blood and cocaine residue, the report said. Officers located McKittrick nearby and, after questioning her about the altercation, placed her under arrest for simple assault-domestic related, the report said. McKittrick was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown, pending arraignment on her charges.
Milroy man escapes injury in one-vehicle accident in Armagh Township
MILROY – A 32-year-old Milroy driver escaped injury when the 2011 Toyota Tacoma fishtailed on old Route 322 in Armagh Township and struck at tree, just south of Sand Mountain Road at 7:41 a.m. on Feb. 21, according to a Public Information Release Report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown on Sunday. Simon B. Foote was traveling west and failed to negotiate a curve and left the roadway, the report said. Police believe he was driving too fast for conditions on the icy road, the report said. After hitting the tree, his vehicle spun clockwise and came to rest perpendicular with the roadway, the report said. Foote was wearing a seat belt, the report said.
Belleville woman not injured in one-vehicle accident in Armagh Township
MILROY – A 27-year-old Belleville driver escaped injury when the 2007 Nissan Murano fishtailed on Route 322 near the Reedsville/Milroy exit in Armagh Township and struck the guard rail at 6:59 a.m. on Feb. 21, according to a Public Information Release Report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown on Sunday. Myakala A. Henderson was traveling west and failed to negotiate a curve, the report said. Police believe she was driving too fast for conditions on the icy road, the report said. After hitting the guard rail, her vehicle spun clockwise and came to rest facing eastboard, the report said. Henderson was wearing a seat belt, the report said.
