McClure homicide suspect dies in head-on crash on Route 104

MCCLURE — A McClure woman was found dead early Sunday morning and the man believed to be responsible was later killed in a head-on crash with a tractor-trailer on Route 104, Snyder County District Attorney Heath Brosius said. Brosius said he was notified of the homicide on West Specht Street at 6 a.m. after a man — believed to be the victim’s husband — called 911, reported the woman’s death, and told dispatchers he intended to take his own life. Bridge maintenance and cleaning will continue on Route 2028 (Goodville Road) at the bridge spanning Dutchman Run, about five miles east of Salem.
