MIFFLINTOWN - The Juniata County Library now offers a self-checkout service for library patrons.Through its integrated library system, SPARK by Evergreen, patrons can go to the self-checkout station and check out books by themselves."This same service is offered in many libraries across the country and we are proud to make it available at the Juniata County Library, Library Director Vince Giordano said in a press release. BOALSBURG -The documentary, "You Enter Germany - Bloody Huertgen and the Siegfried Line," will be featured at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Pennsylvania Military MuseumBetween September of 1944 and February 1945, the U.S. Army fought for control of a 50 square mile area of dense forest along the German/Belgium border. It was the longest single battle, and largest defeat of the American Army in Europe.
