Thanks to all for making 29th Day of Caring a success

3 min read

United Way of Mifflin-Juniata kicked off the 2027 annual fundraising campaign with the 29th Annual Day of Caring on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026.

Approximately 424 volunteers spent the day painting, landscaping, building and cleaning. This year's effort helped 42 different non-profit agencies and government entities throughout Mifflin and Juniata!

The assistance that agencies receive through Day of Caring is critical. For the volunteer, the experience was uplifting. By giving people the chance to be directly involved, they come away with a great sense of accomplishment because they know they've helped a neighbor.

Helping one another is what makes our community strong. Special thanks to the sponsors who donated products, services and funding.

Thank you to our contractor sponsor, Geisinger Medical.
