UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Week 17 in the National Football League saw 50 Penn State Football alums populate the rosters of 26 National Football League organizations. Two former Nittany Lion receivers posted big days in Week 17.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin hauled in seven receptions for 108 yards in the Bucs’ 20-17 setback against the Miami Dolphins. Godwin’s day included a 5-yard touchdown reception and a 59-yard catch. The former Nittany Lion earned his 23rd career 100-yard receiving game.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington continued an outstanding season with an eight-catch, 115-yard performance in the Jaguars’ 23-17 win over Indianapolis Colts. He had catches of 21, 20 and 37 yards while posting his second-straight 100-yard game.

New York Giants linebacker Abdul Carter played a big role in his team’s 34-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Carter recorded three tackles, two tackles for loss and a half-sack. He added four quarterback hits.

Entering the final weekend of the regular season, several Nittany Lions are on teams who have already clinched playoff spots. In the AFC, the Buffalo Bills (DaQuan Jones, Connor McGovern), Houston (Jaylen Reed, Juice Scruggs), Jacksonville (Austin Johnson, Brenton Strange, Parker Washington, Sal Wormley), Los Angeles Chargers (Odafe Oweh) and New England (Caedan Wallace) include former Penn State players.
