CURVE, Pa. – After a one hour and 23-minute rain delay, Altoona dropped game the third game of the series to Chesapeake, 4-0, on Thursday night at PNG Field. The Curve were held without a hit through 6.2 innings before Ivan Brethowr slashed a single up the middle. Javier Rivas followed him with an infield single, but both runners were stranded in the inning by Baysox righty Alex Pham. Anderson earned his second All-American honor this season, joining his NCBWA second-team selection on Wednesday. CURVE, Pa. – Altoona jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and cruised on the strength of a brilliant starting pitching performance from Peyton Stumbo and another 10-hit performance at the plate in a 10-3 win over Chesapeake. Stumbo tossed a career-long 5.2 scoreless frames and earned his first Double-A win on Wednesday. Stumbo allowed just two hits, one walk and struck out a season-high seven batters in the victory.
