BY RAY WILDE SPORTS CORRESPONDENT Branson, MO — The Mifflin County Babe Ruth 15-16-year-old All-Stars will be leaving for the 2026 World Series site on Monday. Ahead of them are a lot of games. Mifflin County will open pool play on Friday, Aug. 7, against Fort Myers, Florida at 11:30 am. Its second game will be against the United Kingdom (England) at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8. CALGARY – Rising juniors Abby Stonehouse and Grace Outwater of the Penn State women's hockey team have been invited to Hockey Canada's 2026 National Women's Team Development Camp, Hockey Canada announced Friday morning. The Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Elk Cam will go live on August 1 and will bring all the sights and sounds of the bugling bulls to your screen. UNIVERSITY PARK – Penn State women’s volleyball landed two players on the Preseason All-Big Ten Team on Thursday. Kennedy Martin earned the honor by a vote of the coaches for the second-straight year. She was joined by Alexis Stucky, who receives the accolade prior to her first season in Happy Valley.
