New business offers sled dog tours in Jackson Hole

JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — Four years ago Abby Jacques had one dog and didn’t own a business. Now she has 42 dogs and they are her business. Jacques is in her first winter running Call of the WYld, a dog sled tour company that runs out of Teton Village. She’s not only the first woman in the county to operate a sled tour business — “as far as I know, ever,” she said — she’s by far the closest to the center of the tourism business in Jackson Hole. PA Game Commission to release 23,000 pheasants

From staff reports HARRISBURG— Pennsylvania’s pheasant hunters have one last opportunity this season to hunt newly released birds. The seventh and final pheasant releases of 2020 are scheduled for Dec. 22 and 23. More than 10 percent of the pheasants allocated for release in 2020 are stocked during these late-season releases. Hanover eagle cam returns for the 2021 nesting season

From staff reports HARRISBURG — A new season of live-streamed action from a bald-eagle nest near Codorus State Park in Hanover, Pa. is underway. The Pennsylvania Game Commission today announced its popular Eagle Cam, a joint project with partners HDOnTap and Comcast Business, has returned. The Hanover cam is one of two bald-eagle livestreams the Game Commission, HDOnTap and Comcast Business are planning this nesting season.
