Thomspontown AMVETs Post 122 held its 49th annual youth trout derby on April 9. Despite the cool rainy start, 166 children registered and many more parents and grandparents took part. AMVETS provided food and drinks, tackle boxes and landing nets. With more than 1,000 trout stocked, there were not many empty nets.
