MILL HALL -- Mifflin County made the trip up to Malinak Stadium to take on Central Mountain for Friday night football action. The Huskies won the season opener, 28-19. Mifflin County found themselves ahead at the half, 14-6, largely because of the big running plays from Jaxon Strohecker and Zyhair Hill with Strohecker leading the way with 64 yards while Hill ran with success totaling 42 yards. LEWISTOWN — Two Mifflin County players were named to the all-tournament teams at the recent Babe Ruth 15-16-year-old World Series in Branson, Missouri. Liam Shaffer was named as an outfielder on the All-Defensive team and Luke Shawver was named as a catcher to the All-Tournament team.
