New season begins Sunday at Williams Grove Speedway
MECHANICSBURG — Williams Grove Speedway will open the 2026 racing season Sunday afternoon, March 22 at 2 p.m. with an afternoon program of Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint car racing.
Hoosier will present Opening Day 2026 with $6,000 up for grabs by the sprint car drivers in the 25-lap feature as part of the Pa Posse 410 Sprint Series.
The season lidlifter will be a 410 sprint car-only event. There will be no time trials.
Anthony Macri of Dillsburg is the defending Opening Day sprint car winner at Williams Grove.
In fact, Macri has won the last two openers at the Grove and has already turned back the World of Outlaws twice this season in Florida to go along with a recent win elsewhere in Central Pennsylvania.
Following the opener, Williams Grove will host the first night race of the season on Friday night, March 27 at 7:30 when it also hosts the season debut of the HJ Towing & Recovery 358 sprints.
April racing will begin on the third with another program of 410 and 358 sprint competition.
Adult general admission for Opening Day is $25 with youth ages 13 – 20 admitted for just $10.
Kids ages 12 and under are always FREE at Williams Grove Speedway.
Gates will open at noon on March 22.
